As of version 3, you can now disable Privileged command= s for particular users to ensure your company standards are adhered to and = no unauthorised users can edit them. You can do this either during installation, or post installation.
Info
The Settings and Manage Transmittals c= ommands are Privileged commands.
Use Microsoft Windows Run command to change this option in the config fi= le.
Type/Paste the following command:
"C:\Program Files\Xrev Transmit\XrevTransmit.exe" SHOWPRIVILEGEDCOMMAN= DS=3D0
Would turn the Privileged commands OFF.
"C:\Program Files\Xrev Transmit\XrevTransmit.exe" SHOWPRIVILEGEDCOMMAN= DS=3D1
Would turn the Privileged commands ON.
Select OK to run the command.
Info
This command requires Administrator privileges to compl= ete. If you do not have Administrator privileges you will be prompted via <= strong>UAC for a Username/Password.
It is also possible to hide specific sectio=
ns of the Settings dialog. This can be done by modifying the XrevTran=
smit.exe.config file in the installation directory (usually C:\P=
rogram Files\Xrev Transmit
). The relevant parts of the config =
file are shown below (f=
or brevity, we've omitted lines that aren't relevant for this purpose).
<?xml = version=3D"1.0" encoding=3D"utf-8"?> <configuration> <configSections> ... <section name=3D"Xrev.Transmit.Windows.Settings" type=3D"Xrev.Transm= it.Windows.Settings.Configuration.SettingsConfigurationSection, Xrev.Transm= it.Windows" /> ... </configSections> ... <Xrev.Transmit.Windows.Settings ShowIssueSettings=3D"True" ShowTransmittalSettings=3D"True" ShowPostProcessingCommandSettings=3D"True= " ShowIssueMethods=3D"True" ShowIssueReasons=3D"True" ShowFormatTypes=3D"True" ShowPaperSizes=3D"True" ShowProjectIssueSettings=3D"True" ShowProjectPostProcessingCommandSettings= =3D"True" ShowProjectAconexSettings=3D"True" ShowFormatSettings=3D"True" ShowContactSettings=3D"True" /> <runtime> ... </runtime> ... </configuration>
Specifically, line 5 decla=
res the Xrev.Transmit.Windows.Settings configuration =
section and lines 9-20 specify which sections should be vi=
sible in the Settings dialog. Change the corresponding setting to
