How to revise Sheets in Revit

This company uses Xrev’s plugins to apply revisions and issue documents from Revit. When using Revision Clouds these should always be placed on the sheet, not the view. If a View moves from one sheet, the original sheet will be clouded where the view was removed. The designation sheet, if new, won’t require a cloud, if its an existing sheet, then the new view is clouded on the destination sheet.

How to add a Revision to multiple Sheets

When you need to apply a revision to multiple sheets but don’t need to highlight all the changes use the following steps.

1. In the Revit Revision dialog, add a new Revision and mark the previous Revision as “Issued”

2. Go to the Add-ins tab ► Xrev Freebies Panel ► Up Rev

3. Select the Revision sequence you created in step 1 and select the sheets you wish to apply the revision to.¹

4. Select OK, and the Revision will be applied to all the selected sheets in a matter of seconds.

If you do need to note all the individual changes to each sheet;

1. You will need to manually draw Revision Clouds around all the changes.  One cloud per change.²

2. Tag the Revision clouds using the “T-Revision-Xrev : Revision with Comments” tag, and update the comments to reflect those changes.
