How to achieve a clean Revision History
When moving to the Tender phase, you should not have any preliminary issues showing in the revision history of a drawing. Likewise when moving to the Construction phase none of the Tender issues should show.
This company utilises Xrev Transmit to manage the Document Transmittal and as such, we do not rely on Revit for recording all the issue history. This is all recorded in the Xrev Transmit database.
Instructions
Step by Step Guide:
Prior to proceeding to the next stage, archive the project file.
Now you can make changes to the Revision history of the Work In Progress model. We will need to remove previous phase Revisions from the Revision history on the Revit sheets. Go to View ► Sheet Composition ► Revisions to open the Sheet Issues/Revisions dialog.
Delete any previous Revisions (You will need to de-select Issued to be able to delete a Revision).1
This history is still retained within Xrev Transmit’s database, and will still show on the Transmittal.
If the project requires a clean Transmittal for the Tender Phase, go to Xrev Transmit ► Manage Transmittals and delete all previous transmittals (they are not permanently removed and can be restored at any time).
NOTE:
Deleting a Revision will delete this Revision and all all associated Revision Clouds and comments from assigned sheets. Please ensure you have correctly created an Archive file should you need to restore this information.
